Process - Self improvement for better outputs and results - August 29, 2025 Self Improvement Memo

Providing outstanding amazing values through process clarity and improvement

August 29 2025 Memo for Changing Self

You need constant self improvement.  You cant hope to improve outputs if you do not improve yourself
When you improve yourself, you can improve your career and your chances of reaching your targets, your career goal and dream of being wealthy.

Albert Einstein named doing the same thing expecting different results as INSANITY.  We cant keep being insane forever.

Improve your self and you improve the world;

     1.  Learn and earn
     2.  Those who read leads

This post published a memo for self improvement on Jan 8, 2008;  presumably lost and forgotten.
Am redoing and editing the same

1.  Be prompt.  Arrive earlier than usual at work (7:30 latest) to practice you on being on time for business appointment and deals, meeting govt details.   Being late makes you lose opportunity and exposes you to penalty

2.  Do it now.  Not tomorrow or later.  Only irresponsible mobile addicted juveniles cant hope to do it now.  But you are different.  The best way to beat indolence is to do it now.  Pick up the phone  Post the article type the article  see the prospect NOW.

3.  Hasten the pace.   If you can do it in one month, do it in two weeks, fi you can do it in two weeks, do in one week, if you can do it in one week, do it in 3 days, if you can do it in three days, do it one.  Find better and faster ways to do finish a task.   MIFF  (Make  it fast friend)

4.  Persist.  Constant follow up.  Continue until it gets done  Dont ever ever quit.   Quitting is failing
You are a winner.

5.  Clarity  Be clear on your communication Goals, Job description, Tasks, What is possible and what
is not, On who your friends and enemies are;  on what you want to be in life.  On your life purpose         On who are you primary target market.  On what
you want   Avoid muddled wishy washy thinking

6.  Go for action and solution  Go with the goal and vibes of your team.  Do not be a nega, or
stand on the way of the team Offer solutions rather than sowing doubts and difficulties for the team         to achieve goals.  Do not just sit down and sulk, MOVE NOW   The best way to remove inertia
at rest and despair.  ACT now.  (No secret GC for ranting or plots vs employer or criminal acts)  You       will be caught and severly censured and even jailed Watch out!!)

7  Improve every day
     1.  Physically -  exercise, walk do zumba, lift weights, eat healthy food.   Lessen your weight
Improve your looks by minding skin, mental wellbeing, clothing, body smell
2,  Mentally -  read books, listen to podcasts, attend seminars.  Learn one new skill a day,, Find
your hard.  Changing your mindset from that of survival to that of abundance (vs scarcity) of                   success vs failure  of being professional vs being a stambay of being valuable ally and staff
vs being an obstacle or headache
     3.  Emotionally -  touch bases with friends, join a club, chat with friends.

8.  Find the other 14 squares
In a diagram with 16 squares there are 14 others.  Go find it.
     1.  Be inclusive; find the trees and forest
     2.  God is in the details
     3.  Practice reverse thinking and out of the box thinking.   The answers are not always in the box
          the routine and mundane
     4.  Research:  in the net, in the books go to the GEMBA, talk to customers, experts.  Avoid hearsays
and your own perceptions.    You can make a mistake if you are not through

 9.  Be customer focused

     1.  A business is an entity that creates customer.  A new one is created if there is a sale
     2.  Everybody in the business is mandated to be related to customer creation and retention.
Find ask if there is no relation yet that you understand
     3.  Every one must be reminded that it is the customer pays the salaries, the rent the food and
the table (the nepos - daughters and relatives of contractors and politicians dont get this)
We remind that every time we pay the salaries

Process: Steps/key points in making a speech

Providing outstanding amazing values through process clarity and improvement

In a survey, people mentioned that one of the most fearful experience they face is making a speech.  Even top notch high level govt officials fail at the task.  Many do with previously written speech by a ghostwriter, and played over a teleprompter.

The true hallmark of a public speaker is to make an impromptu speech on the stage, without cue cards or teleprompter.  This post took up public speaking with Dale Carnegie and was awarded the top price.  In the GSB class and in the corporate setting, such workshops contests for public speaking  were common

Process - how do you train a newbie, a recruit? Training process

Providing outstanding amazing values through process clarity and improvement

Process owners:    HR, Supervisor, GM

This is how you train.  This method uses three methods:   repetition (done 5x) and latency.    (You remember the latest.  Emphasize key points in the last statement or portion of the training

  1.  Tell them what to do

  2.  Explain how do this

  3.  Show them how to do this

  4.  Let them do this

  5.  Comment on whether they did this correctly or not.  Repeat the process if they did not get them

Do this periodically say  monthly (as what an airline does monthly to its  flight attendants .  Review, repetition reenforces learning.   Non use leads to atrophy or loss of learning
