Subject::   Observance of tpm to save huge repair costs for the excavator

Objective:

     1.  To make our heavy equipment run efficiently, save on repair costs and achieve

          savings

     2.  To increase staff knowledge and abilities

Background

     It was reported that the excavator a PC 30 would not start and certain causes were postulated:    lack of cooldown, broken starter

     It turns out that it was due to loose wiring probably caused by vibration by constant

use of the breaker.   It could have been avoided if BLOWBAGETS were observed.  It was said that the current operator is hard headed and does not implement suggestions and teaching 

WTDN 

1.  Observe  BLOWBAGETS before start of every operation.   For the Battery, check tightness of terminals, the fusible links

2.  Have Mr Roberto be lectured on vehicle maintenance more closely and strictly

    INcrease knowledge of vehcile operaitons

3.   Strict logbook entries

4.  Speed up the certifications:

     1   By magic staff on excavator operation

    This document certifies  that

           MR ROBERTO BOLANTE (and the other trainee)

           Holy Angels Memorial Park

     has been thoroughly trained and observed to be capable with regards to the excavator operations  of the following :

    1  Basic excavator parts and function - checking and TPM

    2.  Basic operations of controls

         forward, backward, turning

         operator motion:    rotation, clam in clam out, 

          

    3.  Digging

    4.  Replacing bucket with breaker (using the excavator to lessen labor)

    5.  Loading  and unloading excavator for transport

We will grant  the back pay since day 1 to Roberto and the other operator, upon signature of this certification and showing me updated corrected entries in the logbook

They will shoulder the expense for the certification  If No 5 is not present we pay only P85.00/digging.

Digging must be  done in one hour or less (without breaker)
