Subject:   Correct interpretation, response to a MEMO(randum)

Objectives

      1. To get every one on same page regarding communication
      2.  To promote unity
      3.  To promote unified action and response
      4.  To restore disciplined action in the organization

Reality:

     1.  No response, no unified responde
     2.  FL did P3.2 billion in 2024.  how much did we achieve?
     3.  Problems after problems occur as in GE determination yesterday which was
taught in marketing plan sessions and discussed elsewhere.  -ITS NOT + 20%
          BUT AS 1/1- MARK UP% .

because if you do the + MU, you will not get the same result if you reverse
          calculate.

For example    100 to MU by 20%      The add is 120.00

But using the mark up formula   1/0.80

         Checking:  120 x 20%  =  24

Base price is  120 - 96.  (Wait it I   thought it was 100)

         by using the true discount:

        100/0.8  =    P125

        125 x 20% =  125

            125 -25 =  100

What:   correct undferstandfing of memo.

   4.   Memo is understood as something in hard copy.   This is the definition:

A memo, short for "memorandum," is type of written communication used to address a large body of recipients. Memos are used in academic, business, legal, public policy, and other professional environments to pass on important information, propose new ideas or changes, persuade an audience, or provide a call to action.

(it does not say hard, or soft)

Therefore it does not need hard copy for memo to be seen as memo.

All answers report:   please through Gmail except FB posts

AI summary of MEMO   Read on:

A memorandum (or memo) is a short, internal business or organizational communication used to convey important information, policies, or updates to a group, often featuring a standard heading (To, From, Date, Subject) for clarity, and aims to be concise, formal, and action-oriented, serving as a written record for official communication. Memos are essential for disseminating directives, requests, or reports efficiently within a company, acting like an internal letter but with a distinct format.
Key Characteristics
  • Purpose: To inform, request, or persuade within an organization, addressing issues like policies, events, or project updates.
  • Audience: Typically internal (employees, teams, departments).
  • Format: Standardized heading with clear fields (To, From, Date, Subject).
  • Content: Concise, clear, and direct, often using bullet points or headings for readability, with a focus on key information upfront.
  • Tone: Professional, formal, and objective, avoiding slang.
Standard Parts of a Memo
  1. Heading: To, From, Date, Subject.
  2. Opening: States the main purpose and provides brief background.
  3. Body: Details the central message, explanations, or action items (can use headings/lists).
  4. Closing: A courteous closing statement or next steps
  5. Attachments/Enclosures: Optional, for supporting documents like charts or data.
